One hotel, one floor away

Athletes, adjudicators and officials stay together at the official competition hotel, at contracted rates booked through the organisers.

Free shuttle A free shuttle runs between the hotel and the competition venue on competition days. Times will be shared on Instagram @metucup and in the WhatsApp group.

Payment Rooms are paid in cash at check-in.

Rates are per room, per night, breakfast included. The hotel is a short drive from the venue, with a free shuttle on competition days.

  • One booking can be shared by two different guests, one on Friday night and the other on Saturday, if they arrange it between themselves.

Getting to Ankara

By air

Fly into Ankara Esenboğa Airport (ESB), served by direct international routes and frequent connections via Istanbul. A taxi takes 35–50 minutes to the hotel and 45–60 minutes to the venue; every option, including the shuttles and the city bus, is below.

By road

Intercity coaches from across Türkiye arrive at AŞTİ, Ankara’s main bus terminal. From AŞTİ a taxi takes about 8–15 minutes to the hotel and 15–20 minutes to the venue.

To Holiday Inn Ankara – Çukurambar

  1. Direct taxi

    Taxis wait 24/7 outside the domestic and international arrivals terminals. Tell the driver: “Holiday Inn Ankara Çukurambar Hotel.” The journey is about 31–35 km and normally takes 35–50 minutes, depending on traffic.

    • Estimated price: ₺1,300–₺1,600 (€23–€28)
    • Payment: cash and credit cards accepted

  2. AnkaraAir shuttle + taxi

    After leaving the arrivals terminal, take an AnkaraAir airport shuttle to AŞTİ, Ankara’s main bus terminal. AnkaraAir staff and vehicles wait outside the arrivals exits. Get off at AŞTİ, the final stop, and take a taxi straight to the hotel, about 8–15 minutes.

    • AnkaraAir shuttle: about ₺200–₺230 (€3.50–€4), cash and credit cards accepted
    • Taxi from AŞTİ to the hotel: about ₺250–₺350 (€4.50–€6), cash and cards
    • Estimated total: ₺450–₺580 (€8–€10)

  3. HAVAŞ shuttle + taxi

    Take a HAVAŞ shuttle bus to AŞTİ from outside the arrivals terminal. From AŞTİ, a taxi reaches the hotel in about 8–15 minutes. Reservations are generally not required, but HAVAŞ departure times follow the flight schedule, so check them on the day.

    • HAVAŞ shuttle: about ₺230 (€4), cash and credit cards accepted
    • Taxi from AŞTİ to the hotel: about ₺250–₺350 (€4.50–€6), cash and cards

  4. EGO bus 442 + taxi

    Take the 442 EGO bus towards AŞTİ from the stops outside the arrivals terminal. Get off at AŞTİ and take a taxi to the hotel.

To ODTÜKENT Sports Hall

    Taxis wait 24/7 outside the domestic and international arrivals terminals. Tell the driver: “ODTÜKENT Spor Salonu.” The journey is about 38–42 km and normally takes 45–60 minutes, depending on traffic.

  2. AnkaraAir shuttle + taxi

    After leaving the arrivals terminal, take an AnkaraAir airport shuttle to AŞTİ, Ankara’s main bus terminal. AnkaraAir staff and vehicles wait outside the arrivals exits. Get off at AŞTİ, the final stop, and take a taxi straight to the sports hall, about 15–20 minutes.

    Take the 442 EGO bus from outside the arrivals terminal and get off at Kızılay. Enter the metro station and take the M2 line towards Koru; get off at Bilkent. The sports hall is an 8–15-minute walk from the station.

Heading into the city?

Going anywhere else in Ankara? Get off at Kızılay, the city centre. The AnkaraAir shuttle, the HAVAŞ shuttle and the EGO 442 bus all pass through it.

Free shuttle Staying at the official hotel? A free shuttle runs between the hotel and the venue on competition days, with times on Instagram @metucup and in the WhatsApp group.

By metro, take the M2 line towards Koru and get off at Bilkent. The hall is an 8–15-minute walk from the station. By taxi, tell the driver “ODTÜKENT Spor Salonu”.

METU is a gated campus. At the gate, tell security you are here for the competition.

Parking is available at the hall.
